Setuply Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 17 July 2026
Setuply ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use the Setuply mobile application on iOS and Android.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information. We do not collect your physical location, we do not require your real name, and we never see or store your card or bank details. All payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play.
- Account: your email address and password when you sign up with email, or your name and email address from your Google account if you choose "Continue with Google", plus your username.
- Profile: your bio and profile photo, if you add them.
- Content you create: posts you share to the Setuplygram feed (images and captions), comments you write, desks you publish to the gallery (title, description, and a rendered image of your desk), and the tasks and notes you create.
- Activity: your focus session data (duration, tags, completion history, streaks), in-app progress (XP, level, coins, owned items, completed challenges), reminder preferences, and usage statistics such as which screens and features you use.
- Purchases: your subscription and purchase status, processed through the App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat.
- Identifiers: a Firebase user ID that identifies your account, and the Android Advertising ID collected by Google Analytics for Firebase.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Let you sign in and track your focus sessions
- Enable features such as streaks, challenges, leaderboards, and habit analytics
- Show your posts, comments, and shared desks to other users
- Send reminders and notifications (with your permission)
- Unlock premium features for subscribers
- Understand how the app is used so we can improve it
3. Content That Is Public
Some of what you create is visible to other users of Setuply: your username, profile photo, and level; posts you share to the feed, including images and captions; comments you write; and desks you publish to the gallery. Your username is also searchable by other users. Your tasks, notes, and email address are never shown to other users.
Please do not include personal information in captions, comments, bios, or desk descriptions that you would not want to be public.
4. Data Storage and Security
We store your data using Google Firebase:
- Firebase Authentication for login
- Cloud Firestore for your profile, progress, and content
- Firebase Storage for images you upload
- Google Analytics for Firebase for usage statistics
5. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data with the following service providers, only so the app can work:
- Google (Firebase and Google Analytics): stores your account, content, and progress, and receives your Firebase user ID together with usage statistics and your Advertising ID. We use the Advertising ID only for analytics. Setuply contains no advertising and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.
- RevenueCat: manages your subscription status and receives your Firebase user ID together with your purchase history.
- The App Store and Google Play: process payments.
6. Children
Setuply is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your profile, your posts and their images, your comments, your tasks, your follower connections, your notifications, your published desks, and your uploaded photos. You can also email us to request deletion.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update your profile information
- Request deletion of your account and stored data, directly in the app via Settings → Delete Account
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Turn off notifications at any time
